Semester Break

GSA Members,
I would like to thank all who helped make this a wonderful semester for the GSA. The turnout wasn't quite what I had anticipated, but I think the spring semester will be much better. We will have a general assembly meeting when the semester starts in January. The date and time are still to be determined. Just a reminder that at the first meeting we will hold elections for Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the GSA. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you all in the spring.

Halloween Social

Hey all,
The GSA will be having our annual Halloween Social at Basin Street Pub tomorrow Oct 28th at 8pm. Please join us for an evening of social networking with your fellow grad students. Feel free to dress in your Halloween costume if you wish. Hope to see you all there.

Pot Luck Social Fall 2010

Hello Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who attended the first general assembly meeting of the 2010-2011 school year. It was great to see so many students express an interest in participating. Our first event of year will be the Pot Luck Social at Boxwood House on October 7 2010 from 4:30 - 6:30. I will provide plates, utensils, napkins, and some beverages. Feel free to bring anything you like. Once again this is a pot luck style event. If you can't bring anything thats alright, please just attend and have fun. We hope to see as many of you as possible. This is a great chance to get to know your fellow grad students. Hope to see you all there.

2010-2011 School Year

Hello all KU grad students. As the new President of the Graduate Student Association. I would like to welcome you all to another new and exciting academic year at Kutztown University. Our first general meeting will be Thursday September 16th at 4:30pm in the Student Union Building. We don't have a room set as of yet but I will update this post once we reserved one. Also, signs will be posted around campus the first week of classes. We hope to have a large turnout at the first meeting to discuss the upcoming year and what types of activities we as a club would like to do. We need your input and assistance. I look forward to meeting all of you and best of luck with your classes this year. See you Sept 16th at 4:30pm in the SUB.

End of the Year Potluck Social

Are we really planning for the End of the Year Social already???

The social will be a potluck, so that means we need to start signing up for food to bring! I will take care of all of the drinks, plates, cups, napkins, utensils, etc. If you have a dish you would like to bring, send an e-mail to gsa@kutztown.edu and I will keep a list on the blogspot page.

Spread the word!! Last semester's social was a big hit so I expect the same this semester. They'll be great food, games, and music (we will force Pat to play guitar this time).

General Meeting Tomorrow

At tomorrow's general meeting we will begin accepting nominations for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The meeting will take place from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. in room 322 of the SUB. If you're unable to make the meeting, but you would still like to nominate yourself or another student, send an e-mail to gsa@kutztown.edu. The elections will take place at our final general meeting of the year on April 29th.

St. Patrick's Day Social

Tomorrow night is the St. Patrick's Day Social!!! The event will officially kick off at 8 p.m., but several of us will be there sooner (I'm looking at you Haggerty; although this is your holiday isn't it?). The festivities will be held at the Basin Street Hotel. Click here for a map. Remember to wear green, because this will automatically enter you into a drawing for a free appetizer!!
